Geddes JonesBIOI have been making art as far back as I can remember. I was born on Nantucket Island to two painters who put a pencil in my hand at a very young age. I have always been heavily influenced by surrealism, especially the work of MC Escher and Dali. When I left the island for the first time, at age 7, I was exposed to graffiti and my interest in manipulating letterforms began. Since I started tattooing in Chicago 2010, my influences have become more contemporary and personal. The use of psychedelics and automatic drawing as meditation has changed the way I approach my artwork over the years. Lately, I find myself mostly inspired by fellow traditional tattooers, graff writers and calligraphic lines. I view my artwork as a visual psychedelic experience and primarily work as a tattooer and painter.
